The Lourdes Invalid Committee was set up in the early 1950s. Its aims are, to promote assistance to Assisted Pilgrims (i.e sick) wishing to travel to Lourdes, The Lourdes Invalid Committee was set up in the early 1950s. Its aims are, to promote assistance to Assisted Pilgrims (i.e sick) wishing to travel to Lourdes, France and to provide social entertainment, pastoral and other support for them and their families here in Ireland.

Yearly Calendar Events:

1. Monthly Meetings held in Hospitalite House, Mill Street, Dundalk, on the 1st Tuesday of every month (September - June)

2. Annual Flag Collection Days in early March.

3. We travel on Pilgrimage to Lourdes, France every year from the 12th - 17th of May as part of the Armagh Diocesan Pilgrimage.

4. Retreat and Get-together for our past and present Sick Pilgrims in June.

5. Mass for all deceased members in November.

6. Our annual Sale of Work in Miull Street, in the middle of November .

7. Annual Christmas Party for adults and children who are sick or disabled.

All funds raised are used for the benefit of our sick and in particular to subsidise their travel costs to Lourdes.
